Who uses Expert Project?

Expert Project is used by a variety of organisations including government departments, engineering firms and independent contractors to manage their on-site project costs.

Expert Project’s flexibility makes it is suitable for almost any project that would benefit from ongoing cost analysis such as construction projects and asset maintenance.

How much does Expert Project cost?

We know what you’re thinking – ‘why can’t they just put the price on the website so I don’t have to talk a pushy salesperson’. Although we offer our customers a simple pricing structure we don’t publish our prices on the website because the information gets hijacked and misinterpreted by other websites, leading to all sorts of misunderstandings. We are happy to give you pricing over the phone or via email, just let us know what you need. We give every customer the opportunity to qualify for up to 5 discount items off each license, significantly reducing the cost per license. Qualifying discount items include:

  • being a client for a minimum period of time
  • owning a certain number of licenses
  • allowing us to use your name in promotional activities

What do I get for my money?

When you buy an Expert Project licence you get;

  • The Software – the latest version of Expert Project for use as either a stand alone or network registration. We supply Expert Project in fast, downloadable format.
  • The Training – a seat at any one of our scheduled public introductory training courses (click here to see the course timetable) plus an introductory manual.
  • The Maintenance - automatic receipt of all service packs and new version releases plus access to email support and our 24 hour, 7 day telephone support for 12 months*.

* After 12 months you can subscribe to our annual maintenance plan. If you don’t want to pay for the maintenance subscription, you are welcome to continue using the version of the software that you originally purchased.

What does the Pronamics maintenance plan include?

A 12 month maintenance subscription gives you unlimited access to;

  • telephone support provided by our product specialists 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
  • email technical support;
  • automatic receipt of any service pack releases (generally 2-3 per year); and 
  • automatic receipt of new product version releases (1 product release per year).

What are the licensing options?

Pronamics offers the option of stand alone or network registration for all of our products.

Stand alone registration is best suited to high level users who require unrestricted access to Expert Project and involves installing the program onto individual computers.

Many organisations find a network license system to be the most cost effective option as it allows employees to share a set number of licenses that are made available via your server.

Of course, you can combine these two options or change your setup at any time to suit your needs. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Is training provided?

Yes. Each purchase of Expert Project includes a seat at one of our regularly scheduled Introductory Expert Project courses.

Pronamics’ hands-on training courses are held in professional computer training facilities and include;

  • practical learning with individual computer access in professional training facilities; 
  • lunch and all-day refreshments;
  • a training manual (yours to keep); and
  • a certificate of completion.

With a maximum of 12 students per class you are assured of individual attention so that you will get the most out of your day.

Our team of product specialists provide telephone support to our users 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So no matter where you are in the world or what time of day it is, immediate assistance is available. How do I get a demo/trial copy of Expert Project?

At our product evaluation page you can access a trial version of Expert Project. Once you have it installed we are happy to go through the program’s features with you over the telephone. The trial version of Expert Project is fully functional and is only limited in the amount of information that can be added which means you can test every feature of the program. Our team can also provide online demonstrations and personal demonstrations of the software at your office. Contact us to find out more.

How long does Expert Project take to install?

Not long. Expert Project takes around 5 minutes to install and uses an easy to follow installation wizard. Our telephone support team is also available to help should you need assistance with your installation at any time.

Will Expert Project integrate into my existing system?

Yes. Expert Project is designed to run on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 and only needs 150MB of hard disk drive space to install.

You can easily import your client’s schedule (or bill of quantities) electronically into the program and if the project estimate was created in Expert Estimation you can easily import the entire estimate. Projects can also be zipped for easy copying or emailing from within the program.

How often will I need to upgrade Expert Project and how much do upgrades cost?

We release a version of Expert Project annually which is supported by service pack releases throughout the year. All service packs and product versions are included with your first 12 months of purchase. After this you can subscribe to our annual maintenance package which entitles you to continue receiving all software updates and versions.

Please do. We love receiving any sort of feedback and one of the reasons that Expert Project is so popular is because we listen to the suggestions we receive from our users.
