How often do you hold training courses?
Pronamics holds Expert Estimation and Expert Project training courses on a regular basis throughout Australia and internationally. Instead of publishing an inflexible training schedule we ask that you register your interest in attending one of our courses in your desired location. Once our list has enough potential attendees we will schedule a course, publish the details to our website and contact you directly with the registration details. You can register interest in attending one of our courses via telephone, e-mail or by completing the register interest for a course form.

I have registered interest for a training course but the scheduled date does not suit me. Am I obligated to attend?
No, you are not obligated to attend a course until you return a signed training confirmation form. If you are unable to attend our scheduled training date we are happy to keep you on our interest register and advise you via e-mail of our next course.

I’ve been using Expert Estimation every day for 3 years; can I attend the Advanced Expert Estimation course?
Absolutely, as long as you have completed the Introductory course at least 6 months ago. This is to ensure that all participants attending the course not only have experience with the product but are familiar with all content covered by the Introductory course.

I am unfamiliar with Expert Estimation and/or Expert Project, will I be able to follow the content and keep up on the day?
Our programs operate similarly to the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Even if you have never seen our programs before, you will be able to keep up as long as you have Basic/Intermediate skills in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Although it would be an advantage, we have trained many participants who do not have prior knowledge of either first principles estimating (Expert Estimation) or project cost management (Expert Project). Our Introductory courses are designed to cater for beginner through to intermediate users and our Advanced courses are designed for expert users. Enrolment in an Advanced course is dependent upon completion of an Introductory course at least 6 months prior. You can download a trial version of the program if you would like to use the program before attending the course.

I am enrolled in a training course but I am busy and don’t have time to attend. What happens if I decide not to show up on the day?
Duty of care ensures that we contact the person who booked the place/s to confirm that you are okay if you don’t show up on the day. If you know prior to a training course that you will be unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible as there may be other participants who are on our waiting list that can attend the course instead. If you have not made other arrangements with us and you have returned your signed confirmation form to us and it is less than 21 days before the course date, you will be invoiced the full course fee.

How do I know if I have a confirmed place in a training course?
Your place is confirmed once you return your signed booking confirmation form to us via e-mail or fax. We also contact participants via e-mail or telephone the day before a training course to answer any questions about the location of the course and to reconfirm your attendance. Alternatively you are able to contact our training department at any time via telephone or e-mail if you need further information.

What are lunch vouchers and how do they work?
Pronamics uses lunch vouchers provided by our training venue providers. On the morning of the course you will receive a voucher that can be exchanged at a number of local cafes and food outlets for a meal and drink plus a cup of tea and coffee. The list and location of participating outlets is printed on the voucher and our trainer can provide you with directions. If you don’t use your voucher that day for any reason please be aware that vouchers are only valid for the month they were issued in. Tea, coffee and water are also available all day in the lounge areas of the training venue.

What are the minimum requirements for attending a Pronamics training course?
It is advantageous if you have prior knowledge of first principles estimating (for Expert Estimation) or project cost management (for Expert Project).
Our programs operate similarly to the Microsoft Office suite of applications, therefore Basic/Intermediate skills in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook are necessary. Enrolment in an Advanced course is dependent upon completion of an Introductory course at least 6 months prior.

How long are the courses and how long do we get for lunch?
Our courses are generally held from 9.00am to 4.30pm and we ask you to please be at the venue for registration at 8.45am. Our trainers are flexible to student requirements on the day but we generally include a 15 minute mid-morning break, a 1 hour lunch break and a 15 minute afternoon break. Some groups move through the course content faster than others, so the courses proceed according to individual group requirements.
